Nat Bernard

Nat picked up a pencil a few years ago and, after exploring several subjects, developed an affinity for portraits. She approaches her subject in a realistic manner, capturing the strength of a horse, the twinkle in a dog's eyes, or the emotion in someone's face. While oil is her medium of choice she also enjoys stippling and scratchboard for dramatic monochrome portraits. Nat settled in the suburbs of Northern New Jersey over 20 years ago after living in locales as different as the French countryside and New York City.
